Here
at Cordon Rouge our dogs are our children. Some of them were
co-owned and spent part of their lives with their other owners.
But all of our dogs, starting with Cori the great, great, grandmother
whom we purchased in 1987. The rest were all bred by Cordon
Rouge Rottweilers . The most recent to pass over rainbow bridge
was our Apache at age 13. Each and every one has blessed us
with their unique and loving personalities.
We
know you are watching over us now but we miss you all.

Legacy's
Cordon Rouge von Ursa (Corie)
Our
first pup and foundation bitch Corie never won a show but earned a
few match ribbons before she hurt her rear stifle. Then at 9
years old won #3 in novice obedience at a specialty in West Palm
Beach (which gave her a leg on her Companion Dog title.) Corie had
the greatest disposition of any dog alive! She even got into another
Rottie's whelping box to help the other mother feed her pups! Corie
herself had two litters. The first litter gave us a homebred champion
named "Tia" Her second litter was from the #4 dog in the
country at the time, Noblehaus Klark Kent. There was Lois Lane, Cheif
Perry White, Inspector Henderson, Jimmy Olsen, Kryptonite, ... well
you get the idea. These pups were SUPER HEROES to their owners and
some like Lois Lane v Noblehaus (who gave us CH Elle Est L.A v
Noblehaus, CD CGC) were major pointed. Corie passed her wonderful
temperment to all of her kids....

CR's Max to a T von Hokanson (Tia)
Our
first homebred Champion, Tia or "T-T" as we called her was
pure fun.. all attitude and the most obedient of them all. A
descendant of the great CH Donnaj VT Yankee v Paulus on her sire's
side. She would wait outside a door when told until we came out or
fetch and drop a ball or rocks in the ocean(even under water) for
hours. She was built like a freight train and spent lots of great
summers on Martha's Vineyard, where she and her Mom would meet and
greet the passengers on the New Bedford ferry that docked there. Tia
had one litter with CH. Noblehaus Klark Kent and another with CH.
Dillon von Wacissa, the #1 owner handled Rottweiler in the country
then. This produced our CR's Donna Wantsa Diamond.

CR's
Donna wants a Diamond CD, CS (Diamond)
Diamond
came back to us from a show home who had a human child while owning
two other rottweilers and the strain of a new pup was too much for
mom. She was named after Nicky's best friend Donna Wonson and was the
only female in her litter. Best thing that ever happened for us.
She never liked to show off in the ring when Nicky was on the other
end of the leash, but she was smart and had beautiful color and
looked like the spitting image of her Mom. She was the girl who first
learned how to pull a cart. Diamond would chase tennis balls all day
too! At 8 years old she took a beginners agility coursewith Nicky and
showed them all how good a rottweiler really was! She was only bred
once to Jeneck's Wotan in 1999. This breeding produced both Zahn and
her brother Dhargo who live with us now (see current cogs).

Our
wild child and second homebred Champion, her mom was a Klark Kent
daughter Lois Lane v Noblehaus, bred to Atreads Hawk Adonis, a
Brazilian Champion. We had many exciting moments with ellie and
her antics. She was a break out artist and would lead the pack
through the local golf club as she raced around the neighborhood
looking for rabbits, deer, skunks or woodchucks, while giving Nicky
and the neighborhood a fright. We never thought she would grow
into those legs! She was bred once on a co-bred litter
arrangement to Westminster winner CH Acosta's Adventures of Ivan.(Her
daughter Cuba lives with Aunt Grace in Florida)
